Dr. Sheinberg currently works with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with ADHD, anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral difficulties, depression, eating disorders, emotional trauma, NVLD, relationship difficulties and stress management. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center-Dallas in 1993 and went on for further post doctoral training at Timberlawn Hospital in Dallas in the treatment of children, adolescents and their families.

Dr. Sheinberg helps her patients to identify, label and correct maladaptive feelings, thoughts, behaviors and patterns.  She works with them by exploring and connecting previous history and current feelings, thoughts and behaviors to develop understanding and insight.  The new understanding and insights allow the patient to make changes away from ineffective and undesirable behaviors, while moving towards more effectual and advantageous behaviors.  Ongoing feedback is provided throughout to help with accountability.

While change is never easy nor simple, it is possible.  It will, however, bring up a multitude of emotions, including, but not limited to excitement, fear, boredom,  elation, anger, frustration, confusion and sadness.  Therapy provides an environment to explore these feelings and those that are contributing to making an individual feel unhappy and allows for the person to take risks and experiment in examining how different behaviors can affect the quality of life one ultimately builds.

Dr. Sheinberg coordinates her treatment efforts with those of complimentary mental health and/or medical professionals.   She maintains ongoing professional development by keeping up with the current books and articles and attending a variety of continuing education events each year.
